Sextant Society is an organization comprised of members of the NROTC battalion who have demonstrated superior academic performance, maintain a high regard for physical fitness, and display a propensity for mentoring and motivating fellow Battalion members.  Society members mentor new Midshipmen, Officer Candidates and MECEP students, facilitate assigned battalion functions, and perform community service.

Sextant Society allows for long term leadership opportunities through its officer positions including:  President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Mentoring Coordinator.  The Society inducts new members every fall and spring semester through an application process.  Those interested must meet requirements and be willing to actively participate in Society functions.
